Also here Hofker uses his traditional "downward look" of the sitter, giving the drawing this typical modest outlook. This method was also used by hofker with his Bali work.

(1902 - 1981)
Dutch artist who lived and worked on Bali from 1938 to 1945.
Famous for his sensual pastels of young Balinese women in an everyday-life-pose.
His work, especially his Balinese oil paintings are very sought after by international collectors.
